Morgan’s three wheelers have always provided light-hearted fun and serious thrills for anyone who has climbed aboard one. This, the latest version is called the Morgan Super 3

The Super 3 was a clean-sheet design that shares more with the Morgan Plus Six and Aero models than the old 3 Wheeler.

The Super 3 uses a bespoke bonded aluminium monocoque with stressed superformed body panels, with power coming from the non-turbocharged version of Ford’s 1.5-litre, three-cylinder engine, producing 118bhp and 110lb ft of torque, hooked up to a five-speed gearbox taking drive to a chain driven single rear wheel!

Driven at pace, the Super 3 is a truly physical experience. Not so much in terms of raw muscle power, but the demands on your concentration together with the required amount of body movement becomes a very real form of driver involvement. Think biking lean into the corner, ducking down behind the screens and squinting for the apex.

With its three-wheeled layout, open cockpit and styling that looks like a 1920s vision of the future, the Morgan Super 3 is unique and owners delight in driving something so different from the mainstream and revel in the feedback of the controls and easy low-speed thrills.
